Yes, Sonny registered on the National Roofing Group Forum some time back, and I just noticed that his Birthday Reminder message popped up.

From all of the conversations we had and all of the leadership examples he bestowed on so many, so freely and with such dedicated passion and conviction, I Honor you today, albeit not only in Memory, but in Heart and Spirit as well, so remember that it was my privilege to get the opportunity to get to know you well enough to consider you my Dear Friend.

No doubt Sonny is looking down on us Ed! Thats just the type of guy he was.

I was still somewhat new to the forums, and didn't reallly get a chance to know him, but I would read what I could. There is still stuff I come across that I haven't read! He was definately a man on a mission, he did it with no strings attached, and at times from what I hear, at a cost to himself!

There are many times where I find myself in a situation and ask myself how he would handle it. THAT is proof he is still here, guiding all of us!

Dear Ed and Scott,
Thank you for posting Happy Birthday. Saturday evening my children and grandchildren celebrated
Sonny's life. After dinner we sent him Birthday Balloons. As you know you were a big part of his life.
His mission was to teach and mentor as much as he could with whatever time he had. He once
told me he was a messenger from God, at age 18 I laughed , at age 64 I know he was telling me the
truth. Stay healthy and happy.
