Re: How's Business?
Business isnt as great as I would like it to be, but lately the jobs have been better. It seems like the tire kickers and the people without any money have stopped calling. I would rather work 2 weeks at one job then run all over town and try to do 3 small ones in a day. I wasted many years not advertising because the work was always there when I wanted it, now I wish I had advertised more in the good ole days because it would have helped once everything slowed down.

Re: How's Business?
I'm so stretched right now. I think it should be over by mid Wednesday or so next week.
3 jobs going right now. Subs running two and me trying to finish one up. The main guy that has been helping me the last couple months got sick. I was helper less yesterday. Hired this guy that used to own his company and went bankrupt for 15/hr within 30 mins of finding out my main help is in the hospital.
Stripped vinyl siding and tyveked all day yesterday by myself to pacify the customer. New guy showed up this morning and he's old enough to be my dad but knew how to work. Caught on to those stucco panels I've been installing instantly to the point I was having to keep up with him he kept me busy.
Left his toolbelt in my truck so he plans to show up tomorrow and rode of into the sunset on his Harley.
Customer is extremely happy because we knocked a lot out today especially since my gutter sub came and hung all the gutters. That and he watched me do all the grunt work yesterday solo. Sometimes you just gotta man up.

I'm just barely alive
My salesmanship sucks and I take too long to do up estimates.
Only real good news is a very good chance of a ton of work come september.
