Nail Gun hanger

Postby Josh » Thu Feb 04, 2010

I bought 4 of those siding guns that shoot into steel studs for my guys doing that big nursing home. There in a holding pattern for a couple weeks so I had them bring all my stuff to my shop today..

They put these on the nail guns. I didn't ask if they bought them or if they made them. I actually like them and it looks like you could make them yourself pretty easily..

Are these able to be bought?

Paslode has a rafter hook that they put on their framing nailer. That would work for hanging those on a ladder rung or an eaves trough. I think they sell them at their stores but I couldn't find them on the site.

My Bostch has one, invaluable for sheeting a roof or working on a ladder.

I like it. Can you easily rotate it?

Would be nice if you could easily rotate it, but not be loose and spinning around freely while you work

The paslode one does. They fold up against the gun to get them out of the way too.

I have a couple paslode framer's but the one i'm thinking of is specific to that gun. You can't mount it on another gun?

These are universal.

Unless you gotta link

I thought they would attach at the back of any gun with the bolt that holds the rail together. Here is one at the tool barn for $6.99.

The pic shows a hole that you put a screw through to hold it on the gun. Would your siding gun not have a spot to take a bolt out and install this?

I believe Tim uhler has something real similar on his guns, only double sided. He said he had a guy make them for him. Its seems like they work pretty good.
