Doesn't it look like the coax cable goes through the siding and just pops out 4" away on the other side of the conduit? wtf?

That looks nice and neat but I don't believe you can cover the wire. I know my electrician would shoot you on the spot if you did that to his wire and socket base. he usually runs conduit up the side of the house after the siding is done. He gets mad when the siding guys remove the wire and don't put it back straight, you should see him when the siders pry the meter socket off and have loose screws inside the box.

If the power company or an electrician ever need to check the meter socket they will rip all of the siding off of that wall. Many times the connections inside the meter socket become loose and cause the lights to flicker.

No worries here, my brother is also an electrician. He said that the lb on the bottom should be accessible. I figured if I needed in I would just cut it open.

The meter socket is actually round here and there is no cover to remove, so checking the connections is not a problem. I will see if I have a pic before.

As far as the stack, should be a non issue as they fish the wire through anyways.

Ya know i've almost got into fist fights with sparkies over that. There is no reason to install service box on until the siding is on... PERIOD. It is 100% the electrician's fault when they install there box first.

I"ll pry them off and leave them dangling...

Some jobs i'll cover that area asap if they tell me, sometimes i'll wrap a piece of plywood with coil so they can mount to that...

But if the box isn't hot i'm prying...

And Sal that's snow dude!

You would work very well with my electrician, he believes the same thing. He will not mount the socket until the siding is on or he and the sider work something out.
